The Sports Safety Foundation has donated funds to support South Korea's national team competing at the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
The foundation said on the 30th that it handed over 10 million won (about $7,200) at the Asian Games athletes' village on the 23rd, wishing the Korean team high morale and a safe competition. Park Jang-soon, chairman of the Sports Safety Foundation, and Kim Tae-soo, head of the Jincheon National Training Center, attended the presentation ceremony along with other officials.
The donation was arranged to recognize the efforts of athletes representing the country and to help them perform at their best without injury.
"We send our deepest support to our athletes who are sweating it out overseas to raise South Korea's standing," Park said. "I hope they finish their events safely without a single injury and fully display the skills they have built up."
Kim said, "I sincerely thank the Sports Safety Foundation for extending such warm support and encouragement to the national team." He added, "We will do everything we can on the ground so that all of our athletes can stay safe to the end and focus solely on their competitions."
