South Korea's men's modern pentathlon team won the country's second gold medal of the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
Jeon Woong-tae of the Gangwon Provincial Sports Council, Seo Chang-wan of the Jeonnam Provincial Government and Lee Jong-hyun of the Daejeon Metropolitan City team finished first in the men's team event held on the 20th at Anjo Sports Park in Aichi Prefecture, Japan.
The medal followed Seong Seung-min's gold in the women's individual modern pentathlon event earlier in the day, giving the South Korean delegation its second title of the Games.
Modern pentathlon requires each athlete to compete in fencing, swimming, obstacle racing and the laser run, which combines running and shooting. In the team event, final standings are determined by combining the scores of the three athletes from each country with the best individual results.
