SEJONG — The Korea Arboreta and Gardens Institute said on the 30th that its National Garden Culture Center will begin offering overnight education programs for the general public on Oct. 1.
Participants stay in the center's training lodge and take part in one of four garden-themed courses: a self-directed course, garden art, garden cooking and guided garden tours.
In the self-directed course, participants design their own garden using stickers of garden elements. The garden art course has participants depict garden plants in drawings to create eco-friendly pillow covers.
The garden cooking course teaches participants to make focaccia using herbs, with the dough prepared on the day of check-in and finished the following morning. The guided tour course takes participants through the center's outdoor gardens with a guide, followed by a terrarium-making session.
The training lodge is available to those who have signed up for at least one of the overnight programs.
