SUWON — Gyeonggi Province Governor Choo Mi-ae will formally present her administration's policy direction to the press as she marks 100 days in office.
Choo will hold a press briefing at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 7 in Danwon Hall on the 25th floor of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government building, where she will review the first 100 days of her administration and share her reflections, the province said on the 30th.
She will also explain the policy priorities and governing principles that the ninth popularly elected provincial administration plans to pursue.
A question-and-answer session with reporters will follow the presentation.
At the briefing, the province also plans to unveil for the first time a new symbolic image and brand identity reflecting the core values and governing philosophy of the ninth elected administration.
The entire event will be streamed live on the province's official YouTube channel and website so that any resident can watch. The province said the move is intended to strengthen open communication with residents.
Choo recently opened the full proceedings of her monthly governor-chaired meetings to the public online. The province described it as the first such case among local governments. At that meeting, the province's fiscal situation and response measures were also disclosed to residents.
At her inauguration on July 1, Choo invited about 50 members of a resident delegation. She answered questions directly on major issues including employment, housing, administrative innovation, the economy and transportation, in a display of her commitment to dialogue.
