ANSEONG — The city of Anseong said on the 28th that it is accepting applications through Oct. 11 for its 2026 Anseong Matchmaking Program for unmarried men and women.
The program is designed to help young adults step away from their daily routines, connect with one another and widen their social networks. Rather than arranging simple introductions, the city plans to run a range of activities that let participants share their interests and views and build lasting relationships within the community.
The event will run for two days from Oct. 23 to 24 at Koap Stay in Gongdo-eup. The city will select 12 participants — six men and six women.
Applicants must be unmarried and between the ages of 25 and 39, meaning they were born between 1987 and 2001. They must be registered residents of Anseong or have a base of daily life in the city, such as a workplace or business. Only those who have never been married may apply.
Participants will be chosen through a document review and a phone interview. The phone interview follows the initial document screening, and the final list will be set on Oct. 16. Those selected, along with alternates, will be notified individually by text message.
Applicants must submit an application form, a personal statement and a consent form for the collection and use of personal information. They must also prepare documents verifying their eligibility, including a marital status certificate, proof of resident registration and proof of employment or business operation.
There are three ways to apply. Applicants may visit Cheongnyeon Tok Tok, the city's youth culture space, in person, apply by email, or apply online using the QR code provided.
