Hyundai Department Store (069960) said on the 6th that its K-content export platform, The Hyundai Global, will open a pop-up store in Paris.
The Hyundai Global will operate the pop-up store from the 6th through the 27th of this month on the third floor of the main building at Galeries Lafayette's Haussmann store in Paris. The roughly 79-square-meter space will carry products from five Korean fashion brands: KIMHEKIM, RE RHEE, LIE, FRITUR and THE ILMA.
The pop-up store is being run jointly with the Korea Creative Content Agency. Hyundai Department Store is handling event planning, product shipping and on-site store operations in Paris, while the agency is responsible for local promotion in Europe.
The Hyundai Global has previously opened pop-up stores and flagship locations in major Asian cities, beginning with Tokyo in 2024 and expanding to Osaka, Nagoya, Taipei and Taichung. Starting with the Paris pop-up store, Hyundai Department Store plans to build about 10 The Hyundai Global flagship stores in Europe, North America and other regions by 2030.
"Beyond simply opening overseas stores, we will continue to strengthen our role as a global hub that helps promising Korean brands successfully establish themselves and grow in overseas markets," said Yoo Hee-yeol, executive director of Hyundai Department Store's fashion business division.
