Daol Investment & Securities (030210) is rolling out "MCP Trading," a service that links generative artificial intelligence to brokerage accounts, allowing investors to check balances and place stock orders through AI chat windows.
The brokerage said on the 1st that MCP Trading has officially launched, about two months after it began taking advance registrations in July. The service connects a customer's brokerage account to generative AI chat windows they already use, such as ChatGPT and Claude. A user can ask, "Summarize the returns on my holdings," then follow up with "What's the price of this stock?" and "Buy 10 shares" — with account checks, price lookups and order requests all handled within the conversation. Any domestic customer aged 19 or older who holds a Daol brokerage account can use it free of charge.
Daol has also simplified installation with a one-click installer file for Claude Desktop. Rather than entering complex commands, users run the installer and input a connection key issued through Daol's mobile trading system app, Fi. The service supports balance, price and available-order-amount lookups for both domestic and overseas stocks. Users can place stock orders or amend and cancel unfilled orders through conversation. For domestic stocks, limit orders can be placed during trading hours on the alternative trading system NXT as well as the regular session. For overseas stocks, customers need only deposit Korean won, with currency conversion handled automatically at the time of the order.
The service also offers portfolio management that combines account data with the analytical capabilities of generative AI. Asked to "diagnose the risk in my portfolio," the system summarizes figures such as concentration among holdings and the return needed to recover the principal. Linking an AI agent allows customers to receive regular account briefings every morning.
Every order, however, requires final customer approval after the AI first displays the order details on screen as a preview. Orders that bypass the preview step and duplicate orders are blocked at the system level. "We adopted a local-execution approach that strengthens security by operating only on the customer's own PC," a Daol official said. "We are not providing account information to outside AI operators — customers pull their own account data using a connection key they issue themselves." Fund transfer functions such as deposits and withdrawals are not available through MCP Trading and can be performed only through Daol's home trading system or mobile trading system.
"Starting with MCP Trading, we plan to continue expanding an open ecosystem that connects Daol's investment infrastructure with outside platforms," the official said.
