Shinsegae Department Store said on the 28th that it is launching "WEDDING VOW CLUB," a membership program exclusively for couples preparing to marry and newlyweds.
Eligibility runs from one year before the scheduled wedding date to six months after the ceremony. Customers can sign up through the Shinsegae Department Store application by submitting supporting documents such as a wedding venue contract.
Members receive a welcome package designed for use during wedding preparations. The benefits, available in fashion and accessories categories, total 1.2 million won over six months. Members also receive beverages at the Members Bar and free parking vouchers.
WEDDING VOW CLUB members are eligible for gift promotions in luxury goods, fashion, watches and jewelry, as well as promotions on home appliances and furniture. In addition, they can earn bonus rewards of up to 1% of cumulative purchases at their registered store, capped at 1 million won.
The program also offers partnership benefits with about 120 brands. Members can receive standing discounts, purchase gifts and engraving services at watch and jewelry, fashion and cosmetics, and home appliance and furniture brands. The benefits have been broadened to cover wedding preparations overall, not just items such as wedding gifts, formal attire, appliances and furniture.
Shinsegae has also extended the program beyond its department stores through affiliates within the group. Participants include fashion and beauty brands under Shinsegae International, Shinsegae Simon premium outlets, Shinsegae Duty Free and Shinsegae Casa. The aim is to target wedding-related demand at the group level, spanning wedding preparations, honeymoons and setting up a new home.
"We created this wedding membership so that customers preparing for marriage can enjoy the benefits they need more easily and conveniently," said Lee Sung-hwan, executive director of sales strategy at Shinsegae Department Store. "We will offer differentiated wedding benefits that cover a range of needs before and after the wedding, from wedding gifts, formal attire and household goods to honeymoons and preparing a new home."
