Lotte Department Store said on the 28th that it will hold "Lotte Active Week," a sports and outdoor-themed promotion, at all of its department stores, shopping malls and outlets from Oct. 1 to 18.
The retailer will open the run with the "Lotte Active Festival" on Oct. 9 and 10 at Sky Park, the outdoor plaza at Lotte Mall Gimpo Airport. Visitors can try pickleball, tent pitching, uphill trail walking and pull-ups, and those who take part in multiple programs will receive Lotte gift certificates and discount coupons on a first-come, first-served basis.
The festival also features a picnic zone where visitors can bring mats and relax, along with an "Outdoor Cinema" screening sports films in the evening. An outdoor yoga class led by a professional instructor and a "Night Camping" program in teepee-style tents will also be offered. Applications for the two programs open Oct. 1 on the Lotte Culture Center website, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Individual stores will run customer participation classes with leisure brands. From Oct. 9 to 18, the Incheon, Nowon, Pyeongchon and Dongtan stores will offer outdoor activity classes in partnership with Nepa, Andar, XEXYMIX and Brompton London.
Separately, all stores will hold an autumn seasonal sale from Oct. 1 to 11, with discounts of up to 40% on participating brands. On weekends, shoppers will receive Lotte gift certificates worth 5% to 10% of their purchase amount, depending on how much they spend.
"With the autumn sports season now in full swing, we are introducing our first hands-on theme event where customers can take part and enjoy it themselves," a Lotte Department Store official said. "We will continue expanding our stores into spaces where shoppers encounter a range of experiences and lifestyles."
