Yuyu Pharma said on Sept. 23 that it delivered 60 million won worth of its products, including Taurine Premium Albumin Gold, Power & Good and Venoke Cream, to the Army's 51st Infantry Division. The donated products will be used to improve the welfare and health of the division's soldiers.
Last year, Yuyu Pharma ran the "Yuyu Campaign" with the Defense Ministry's MIA Recovery and Identification Agency to raise awareness of efforts to recover the remains of soldiers killed in the Korean War. The company has continued military-related social contribution activities, including donating vitamins to a children's drawing contest for Armed Forces Day hosted by the Korean Armed Forces Honor Association.
The company also continues sharing activities for local communities and people of national merit. It donated health functional foods to people of national merit in Jecheon, North Chungcheong Province, and carried out rice and briquette donation drives and holiday home-visit volunteer work. In recognition of these efforts, it received a plaque of appreciation from the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
The 51st Infantry Division, under the Army's Capital Corps, defends southern Gyeonggi Province and western coastal areas, including Anyang, where Yuyu Pharma's production plant was located from 1960 to 2006.
"Following last year's collaboration with the Defense Ministry's remains recovery agency, it is meaningful to express our gratitude to the soldiers fulfilling their duty of national defense," said Park Noh-yong, chief executive of Yuyu Pharma. "We will continue to fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
