Cellist Kim Tae-yeon, who finished second at this year's Queen Elisabeth Competition, has signed an exclusive management contract with ANRC (A&R Collective), a classical artist management agency.
Kim first drew attention in 2024 at the 12th Witold Lutoslawski International Cello Competition in Poland, winning the top prize at age 18 as both the youngest winner in the competition's history and the first Korean to take the title, along with nine special prizes. At this year's Queen Elisabeth Competition, Kim won second place and the Klara Audience Award.
Kim has also taken first place at the Antonio Janigro International Cello Competition and the Gustav Mahler International Cello Competition, and won second place along with the prize for best Bach performance at the Young Tchaikovsky International Competition. Kim has performed with the Warsaw National Philharmonic Orchestra, the Brussels Philharmonic, the Belgian National Orchestra and Kremerata Baltica.
After graduating at the top of the class from Yewon School, Kim entered the Curtis Institute of Music in the United States at age 14 and currently studies under Gary Hoffman, Peter Wiley and Jeon Ye-jin. Upcoming performances include appearances with the Poznan Philharmonic in Poland, the Osaka Philharmonic Orchestra and the Kyoto Philharmonic.
ANRC's roster includes sopranos Park Hye-sang and Choi Ji-eun, countertenor Lee Dong-kyu, baritone Kim Tae-han, pianist Lee Kwan-wook and composer Son Il-hoon.
